Three conditions leading to neck pain, back pain, and sciatica are herniated intervertrebral discs (IVDs), cervical radiculopathy, a condition of the neck, and spondylolisthesis, at times with spondylolysis, a condition affecting primarily the lumbar spine, the lower back. Treatment varies with the severity of the condition and the age of the patient.
